Greetings Firebrand Community,
We’ve been very busy here at Firebrand Technologies and I encourage everyone to keep up to date with everything by visiting our website. Check out where we are and where we’re going to be on our events page [[1]] .
If you’ve looked lately you’ll know that Fran was just out in California Tweeting away with some very interesting statistics. Like: 50% of people over 13 years old bought or received a book last year. And, 37% of all books were purchased by people who make less than $35k per year. Or, 43% of books purchased were gifts; most recipients were over 55 years old. And lastly, 31% of books purchased were impulse buys.
Next week we hope you will join the Firebrand team, including Fran Toolan, Paul Milana, Susan Ruszala and Doug Lessing at the highly regarded MIP conference in New York City on May 7.
Of course keep your calendars clear for the BEA when we’ll all be in NY. This year is going to be very exciting! Stay tuned for more on that in an upcoming newsletter.
We’ve got so much going on that it’s not always easy to keep it all in one place. With that in mind I’ve started posting a number of news-type items on our Wiki. Here you can see not only ‘Title Management’ type information but company-wide information. For example you can catch up on some of the latest news at NetGalley at NetGalley in the news . Also check out the new Blogs at "Follow The Reader" [2]. Finally, in an effort to keep everyone up to speed, you can follow the action on Twitter @Askburnie.
From the Training side of things don’t forget to check out our upcoming [[3]] and previously recorded webinars [4]. Coming up we have a couple of informative webinars on Title Management Web V7. The previously recorded webinars, as always, are ready for you to view whenever you like. Also I’m continuing to update and revise our documentation which you can review on our Wiki . Please stop in and let me know what you think.
I encourage everyone to visit our community site at www.firebrandz.com . Join if you haven’t, and take part in the exciting times here at Firebrand Technologies.
If you have ideas you’d like to share with the community please log in to the discussion forum [5]and add your experiences. Read up on some of the topics and lend your thoughts on ways you or your company might have dealt with an issue. Recently we got a helpful solution provided to us from Paul on MAC RDP Drive and Printer Mapping Tip [6].
