About our Speaker
CJ Rayhill joined Safari Books Online from O'Reilly Media, where she served as Chief Information Officer for the last 7 years. CJ spent the majority of her career doing software development and technology management in the financial services and healthcare industries prior to joining O'Reilly in 2000. She has worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Citibank, Travelers Insurance Company, Zenith Insurance and U.S. Healthworks. She is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, having attended Annapolis with the first-ever class of women in 1980 and served as a geophysics officer in the Navy. She also holds an MBA degree from the University of South Florida.

CJ is going to take us through a case study of how the Safari network was formed, and the business models that were created. She will take us through the history of the company with anecdotes about the pros and cons of being in a joint venture with a much larger company. Additionally, CJ will explain how this model may be applicable to other markets inside the book publishing community.
