Out of Print Books should be non-returnable
Don Collins called today and suggested that when books are set to 'Out of Print' that there should be some mechanism to make them non-returnable after 180 days. He said that some major customers were returning those books, and explained that the title record still showed them as 'Returnable'.
What's the best way to handle that? perhaps this is a good discussion point for the eloquence partner panel. FToolan 12:32, 15 February 2008 (CST)
Need to insure that files are processed by Partners
Don also mentioned that some partners do not have the correct pricing, even though these prices were sent out via eloquence. Investigation showed that sometimes files are missed and not processed, which can be a disaster if the file missed was the semi-annual price update file that many university presses send in January and July.
I mentioned that this was something the industry was looking at with the Data Certification for Partners moving forward. We should bring this up in the BISG/BISAC panel. FToolan 12:32, 15 February 2008 (CST)
international ONIX feeds
I'd like to get up to speed on the reality and/or plans of QSI/Eloquence for providing data feeds and/or ONIX feeds to bibliographic data supplier Nielsen/BookData in the UK as well as data feeds to other international partners. Dblobaum 11:30, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
